About me
With a holistic view of product and process development in conjunction with quality management, I promote the achievement of the highest quality. I offer my clients the wealth of experience of an extensive professional life in product development, production, quality management and especially in the field of preventive error prevention.
Since the end of 2002, I have been familiar with the classic areas of FMEA in product development (DFMEA) and process development (PFMEA). I can also look back on FMEA experience in the field of logistics and have recently also dealt with the topic of "FMEA-MSR" (Monitoring and System Response). I acquired my professional skills in the application of the FMEA method and my expertise mainly during my time in the automotive supply industry and through participation in relevant national and international congresses. In over 20 years, I have developed into an expert in the field of FMEA with a large network.
In addition, I played a leading role in integrating the FMEA method into the methodological landscape of a company's existing QM system. I see the invitation in 2017 to verify the draft of the "AIAG/VDA FMEA Guideline 2019" based on recommendation of a customer as an award for my work. It shows that I have been able to convince and impress customers with the work I have already done up to that point.
In doing so, I have the ability to think in terms of error thought models. I succeed in filtering out the core of what has been said from team discussions and in working out preventive reasons for possible deviations from the target specifications by asking suitable questions. In addition, I actively contribute to problem identification through controlling the meetings conversation and my own basic technical understanding.
Further more I have the necessary tact that is needed to point out possible mistakes to my interlocutors and to work out improvements with them. In doing so, it is important to me to take a pragmatic approach on an equal footing with all workshop participants.
As a "Freelance Engineer for FMEA & Failure Prevention", it is my job to understand the FMEA method, to be able to apply it, to ask the right questions and to support you as a customer in terms of failure prevention.
That allows you and your employees to focus on the core of your business - product or process development.
