What distinguishes methodIQ?

In 2016, I was invited to assess the draft of what would later become the “AIAG/VDA FMEA Guideline 2019” in terms of its practical applicability – a special mark of trust from the industrial sector. 

methodIQ combines failure analysis, problem-solving and Lean approaches – for end-to-end quality management:

• Preventive: FMEA and Lean for defect-free products and processes (less waste, more value creation.)

• Reactive: 8D & A3 for sustainable problem-solving

• Methodical: Moving away from Excel towards a collaborative way of thinking and working

In over 20 years in the automotive supply industry, I have learnt:
The best problem-solving is of no use if no one follows a systematic approach and if no one learns from it.

This practical knowledge now informs the facilitation of technical workshops and cross-functional problem-solving.

In doing so, I structure workshops and identify the core of technical discussions. Among other things, I help you to use FMEA step-by-step as an effective tool for thinking, learning and communication - moving away from simply filling in Excel spreadsheets.

A combination of methodology, efficient facilitation and pragmatic cross-departmental collaboration helps you to implement effective error prevention in conjunction with technical learning processes.
